Champions Exhibition

Posing with a framed photo of my brother, Robbie, whose previous amateur background influenced my own.

Two Bronxites. Former Three-Weight World Champion, Iran Barkley.

“Punch Drunk” was exclusively made for the exhibition. It’s mixed media of 2 skeletons duking it out- surrounded by related media of boxing’s tragedies and assailants. It’s dedicated to those who give themselves to the sport.

A celebration of one of the “Four Kings”, Roberto Duran. This has a personal meaning behind it where I originally drew it as a sketch last year, hoping for Duran himself to autograph it when he was visiting the Bronx. But alas, I was still intimidated by the hands of stone.

A physical acrylic painting on a canvas of 12x16, where I depict myself in rockbottom. Unemployed, injured, and not as physically active on a couch but still connected to boxing. Even wearing my first ring gear a year ago at the time.

Event pictured; with former champion(s) Danny Lalonde and others. It felt odd when I looked like one of the kids the attendees brought even though I was a featured artist.

Organizer and prominent artist, Bailey Lalonde. Presenting Danny’s WBC belt, autographed by champions present to be auctioned for charity.

Art by Layla Love and attendees at the exhibition "Champions" Gleason's Gym, Additionally photographed by Marco Girelli
